How to Post an Item:
POSTING AN ITEM:
The new page you will come to allows to enter your
title and the text for your item/post. After you have
finished creating your item/post, be sure you select a category
BEFORE you attempt to upload/publish the item. Again, if
you need to view a larger image of the instruction below, click
on the image.
To View Your New Item:
If you wish to view your item/post from within this control
panel, click on the words "Your Site" in the upper right hand
corner of the page.
To Add a Link and a Photo To Your Item:
Adding links to other sites, especially your own,
is a very good think to do in your messages. Just be sure you
add links to sites that are travel, hospitality or tourism
related! Adding photos is an okay thing to do, but they
tend to slow the search engines down. Try NOT to add very many
photos. AND, you must add small photos. They should not be
over 150 pixels wide. The system is set to add your photos
as thumbnails.
To Retrieve Your Password:
If you signed up, but didn't receive an
activation password, or if you signed-up and forgot your
password, here is how you can get the system to send you a new
one:
Problems and Troubleshooting:
Here is what
we know for sure about this blogging software:

It doesn’t
like large photos. You must upload small photos and then keep
them fairly small on the screen.

It wants you
to place items longer than two paragraphs into the Extend
Option area.

It doesn’t
like long titles
-
It doesn’t’
like long image descriptions
-
It HATES text
that has been cut from another program and pasted-in
Any one of the
above items could cause the hand-hand column to instantly move
all the way to the bottom. Then, if you don’t correct the post
that caused the problem, all posted that come in later will keep
pushing the hand-hand column further down on the page until it
disappears all together.
If
you must cut and paste, here is the best way to do it:
1. Open Wordpad
or Notepad on your computer
2. Paste your
text onto the page
3. Select all
text and format it with the font Verdana in 10 pt
4. Save AS a
.txt file
5. Now cut and
paste text into the blog – there will be no underlying software
codes come across and contaminate the blog.
