are designed as vector art which is mathematically scalable.
This means your logo will look as clear and crisp on a
business card (small) as it will on a billboard (very
large). It also allows for printing in less than 4 colors,
thereby saving you money on marketing collateral.
Raster images, on the other hand,
are almost always four color and are resolution dependent. That
means a logo built at 72 dpi cannot be used for print purposes
and cannot be scaled larger than originally designed. Once your
logo is created, you can only use it at that size, often not for
print purposes and enlarging is impossible.
In order to
plan for your future marketing needs, a vector logo is a MUST!
It can be converted to a .jpg for your web site and saved as an
.eps for use on all printed materials, banners, trade show
graphics and signage.
